The Haltom City Rainbow House is undisputedly the most recognizable home on Carson street in Haltom City, Texas. Featuring 11 colors of the rainbow in horizontal stripes, the house located at 2412 Carson Street is a highly visible landmark from a 5 lane thoroughfare in an otherwise unassuming part of town. In May 2026, the owner, Liam Yesko, painted the home along with several volunteers, to replace the paint that was removed from rainbow crosswalks across Texas cities in March.
Since painting the house, the HCRH has taken on a life of its own, attracting people from all walks of life with its curious appeal. The owner happily welcomes all visitors during the hours of 10am-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The project that initially started as a protest against Governor Abbott's policy to remove "policical and idealogical infrastructure" has now grown into a movement of its own. Today, The HCRH hosts community events and gatherings to uplift the area through friendships, improvement initiatives and general kindness to others. The HCRH is an LGBTQ+ owned and operated home, but its reach goes far beyond the LGBTQ+ population. People coming with positive intent and curiosity from all walks of life - straight people, LGBTQ+ people, people of all races, religions, ethnic backgrounds and even political ideologies are welcome to The HCRH.
The HCRH is now a community pillar with support from immediate neighbors and a sizable online following. Read more about The HCRH in the "Story" section!
